#50 - A FEW AWESOME LASH EXTENSION GLUE TIPS

Just thought we would share a few little tips to help you get better retention and a glue that suits your environment perfectly …

1. MIXING GLUES

Did you know you can mix your glues? Yeeeeep and it works amazing. If you find maybe you get great retention from one particular glue but maybe it dries too fast and another different glue you love the speed. You can mix them to create the perfect glue just for you.

For example using our Pro Glue (our fastest glue) with our Holy Grail. Two ultimate retention glues together is like Iron Man and Captain America working together to save the world!!

We can’t offer advise as to the quantities to mix them, but only do it drop by drop and when you are using it. For example place a small dot of one glue on your crystal and then place the second glue dot into it. You could mix with a tooth pick or something.

Have a go. Experiment a little!

 2.  USING A GLUE PLATE

We conducted an experiment a while back of what surface does glue last longer on once exposed to air … a glue plate on top of a jade stone or crystal kicked butt.

We tried

The fresher you can encourage your glue to be, the better your retention will be. We still recommending to change your glue dot every 10-15mins (depending on your environment).

3. SHAKE IT BABY

A couple of shakes often doesn’t do the glue justice. It needs to be shhhhhhaaakkkkeeen. The more you shake the better the glue. I would even recommending giving it another shake mid set when refreshing your dot.

Glue should be a nice rich dark black. If it isn’t then it means the particles have separated slightly, so you need to put them all back together again.

So shhhhaaakkkkeeee - we can’t recommend shaking enough (good work out for your arm too!)

4. DIP IN THE CENTRE

The centre of the glue dot contains the glue which has had the least amount of exposure to air (remember moisture in the air is what cures our lash glue). So by inserting your extension into the centre of the dot as much as possible you will be getting the freshest glue.
