Ange has been a long-time student and customer at Locks Lash. She’s quite literally completed almost ALL of our courses… wild! Now, she’s completing her Body Contouring course.
We have a Body Contouring community for our students to chat to one another, share progress and for trainer Bubblz to help and answer any questions students have. Recently, Ange shared a before and after to the group that blew everyone’s minds.
Details about this before and after can be found below, along with other images.
Ange shares with you how she fits training into her busy life as a salon owner, wife and mum - as well as going over her experience with the course and why she decided to add body contouring as a service to her treatment menu.

Ange! Firstly, tell everyone a little about you
Before getting into the beauty industry I was a baker for 14 years, which is where I met my now husband. I took time off in-between baking and beauty to bring up my 2 beautiful babies! As they got older I wanted to do something that would be flexible so that I could always be there for my kids.
I got into this industry not at all expecting it to go as well as it did and we have now built a booming salon. I named my salon TALK Lashes and Beauty; TALK is using all the initials from my husband, my kids and I. Plus I thought even without the meaning it was still a pretty cool name!

You’re currently going through the Body Contouring course with Locks Lash. How has the learning experience been for you so far?
It’s been a great experience. The course is super informative and if I have any questions, my trainer Bubblz is great at answering quickly. There’s also a student training group where we can ask questions, it’s amazing. In this group we can share results, ask questions and support one another on our progress.
- What was your biggest motivation for enrolling in this course, and how do you feel about the decision now that you’re in the middle of it?
I had always been fascinated by body contouring and had seen it advertised by other trainers. As soon as I saw Locks Lash was offering it, I was so excited and didn’t hesitate to sign up. - What made you decide to train with Locks Lash?
I stumbled across Locks Lash online during COVID. As soon as I saw some of their live videos, fun staff and variety of courses I was sold. The courses are informative and fun and I’ve since done most of their courses and offer them all in my studio. -
You are already seeing insane before and after results on your models. Tell us a little more about that…
After doing my first model I was already so excited about the results. I can’t wait to do more and complete my course so I can start offering it as a service. Below is one example of a current model of mine.
-
She came to me concerned about the size and shape of her tummy
-
She wanted to slim down a bit and to feel more comfortable in her pants
-
She lost 5cm in her waist and her skin is visibly smoother and looks more toned

These photos are before any treatments then 1st, 2nd and 3rd treatment

How do you balance learning new skills through the course with running your beauty business and managing your daily life?
At times it gets extremely chaotic - but the great thing about an online course is that you can do it in your own time when you have spare time. Locks Lash courses don’t expire.
- Have you started telling your clients about the new service you’re adding? If so, what’s their reaction been so far?
I have! They’re definitely curious, and excited to start seeing photos. I have clients that are keen to have this service done once I've finished the course. - How do you plan to introduce body contouring to your clients once you’ve finished the course, and what kind of results are you most excited to deliver?
I’m planning to put a post with some of my models results and will probably offer an introductory deal to start. I will offer it to new and existing clients and do referral deals to help spread the word. -
What advice would you give to someone who’s thinking about starting the course but is unsure if they have the time or skills to complete it?
I think if it’s something you’re considering just do it! You don’t know unless you try. I have a super busy schedule with my studio, kids, after school activities, and housework. I usually sit down at night and watch the modules online. I fit models into my days off and will integrate it into my normal working hours once I have completed my course. -
What aspects of the course structure have been most helpful for your learning process?
I love the student community. It’s great to see everyone helping each other out; everyone is so supportive of one another. The course is so informative, easy to follow and interesting to do. Any extra help that is needed is easy to get. -
What part of the course content do you think will have the biggest impact on your ability to deliver great results for your clients?
The detailed videos are great. I often rewatch before starting a body contouring service just to be sure I’m doing everything right while I’m still learning. - How much do you plan to charge clients for this service once you launch it?
I’m still quite nervous to put a price on this but at this stage I’m looking at charging an hourly rate of $180, no matter what body part it is. - What advice would you give someone who’s worried about trying to balance work and life, but want to take the course?
There’s absolutely no pressure to finish in a certain timeframe so it’s very achievable without being stressful.
