Can You Get Funding For Beauty Training?
We've helped many students over the years, get funding to enrol in our courses using employment program funding.
If you want to train but the cost is a barrier, this may be an option worth exploring.
Below are three programs in Australia that sometimes fund short training between $300-$3,000.

1. Workforce Australia
Many job seekers in Australia are connected to an employment provider through Workforce Australia after being referred from Centrelink.
Each participant has access to an Employment Fund, which providers can use to pay for things that help someone get work, such as:
• short training courses
• licences or certifications
• equipment needed for a job
Once someone joins the program, they are assigned to an employment provider such as:
- Sarina Russo
- APM Employment
- BUSY At Work
- Wise Employment
- CVGT Employment
- Axis Employment
Approval depends on the employment consultant and the provider’s available budget.
👉You can google each of those providers to get more information. And if you are connected with one of these providers, you can ask your employment consultant whether training could be included in your Job Plan.
2. Transition to Work (ages 15–24)
This program supports young job seekers aged 15–24 who need help moving into work.
Providers sometimes fund short skill-based courses if they believe it will improve the participant’s chances of getting a job.
Examples of organisations that deliver the Transition to Work program include:
• APM
• The BUSY Group
• Mission Australia
• SYC
• Workskil Australia
👉If you're connected (or can get connected) with one of these providers, you can ask your consultant whether training could support your pathway into employment.
3. Self-Employment Assistance
Self‑Employment Assistance helps people start their own business.
Participants receive:
• business training
• mentoring
• support while starting their business
Because the goal is to help people become self-employed, participants sometimes seek technical training related to the service they plan to offer.
For example, someone starting a beauty service may pursue training in areas like:
• lash extensions
• brows
• body contouring
Examples of organisations delivering the Self-Employment Assistance program include:
• APM
• Asuria
• Business Station
• ETC Employment & Training
👉Availability can vary by location, but these organisations commonly run the program across Australia. You should check them out & see if you qualify.
