Getting Thicker and Fuller Lashes | Create Volume With Our Tips and Lash Fans

How to Create Thicker Volume & Classic Lash Fans

What inspired this blog is not only because we often get emailed asking for tips on making fuller, thicker looking sets of lash fans, but that we also saw this photo posted on Facebook recently.

Giving Your Lash Fans The Volume And Shape They Deserve

A lash artist posted this as an example of the illusion that can be created from photoshop type apps, and that they are sometimes used by lash techs to create a false image of their work.

The app used here gave the appearance of a darkened lash line.
We put this in here so you can understand that what you see on Facebook & Instagram is not always what is!!

If you would like to create this look but in real life, and without the help of an app, then here are a couple of different ways & tips to create thicker, darker & fuller looking sets in both classic and volume lash fans.

CREATING THICKER & FULLER LOOKING CLASSIC SETS

TIP #1:

Using a B curl on a client creates more of a dark eyeliner look because from the frontal view you can only see the tip.
C & D curls create more of a shadow and a lift and hence can open an eye area more.

TIP #2:

To create a more dramatic & noticeable set that looks long in length then use a D curl or an LD curl. This is especially great for those clients that demand long extensions but don’t have the natural lashes to safely support them.

Mixing curls, thickness and lengths throughout a set will create texture which gives the illusion of fuller, darker looking sets.

TIP #3:

By dropping down in length in-between each normal extension you're placing on, especially through the centre of the eye, you will make the lash fan set look darker and fuller. For example, the basic length you are doing the set is an 11mm. In-between each 11mm, put a 9mm on every second or third lash. You could even go down to an 8mm on some natural lashes.

TIP #4:

Adding a row of a different curl in a short length will add darkness, thickness and texture, especially if you use a D curl. For example, if your set is C 0.15 12mm as the basic length & curl - then come in with a D curl in an 8mm and place evenly throughout the set.

TIP #5:

By mixing evenly a C and a B curl throughout the whole set it will make it look darker and fuller.

CREATING THICKER & FULLER LOOKING VOLUME SETS

You can also use our Premade & Promade lash fan range to help too!

TIP #1:

When you are at about 80% through your volume set, to create a darker, thicker & fuller look, drop down in length & make some smaller fans, maybe using 3D, 4D & even 2D in a much shorter length like a 6mm, 7mm or 8mm. These smaller fans can be placed on the smaller natural lashes that can’t safely hold a longer fan. By doing this and using shorter fans it adds texture to the set which makes them look thicker. It also creates a darker look along the eyelid because of the contrasting lengths.

TIP #2:

To create a more dramatic & noticeable set that looks long in length then use a D curl or an LD curl. This is especially great for those clients that demand long extensions but don’t have the natural lashes to safely support them.

TIP #3:

By making your fans wider this will create more texture and make the set look fluffier.
