#89 HABITS TO NOT LET GO OF DURING ISOLATION

#89 HABITS TO NOT LET GO OF DURING ISOLATION
Posted on
You may not be able to physically expand your client base by doing lash sets, offering specials, etc. BUT (gotta love a good 'but' 😏) you can grow yourself in your technique and really start implementing those good habits that we've never had time for in the past. By focusing your time on this, you will be ready to get things rolling the second this whole thing goes back to normal.

1️⃣WAKE UP THE SAME TIME IN THE MORNING

It's easy to quickly go out of routine with your sleeping routine when you don' t have a place to be. And whilst it's totally okay to have those first two or three days to just chill and let it sink in, but any longer, it will just become a dangerous cycle that will only get worse and worse.
Right now, no one really knows how long this is going to go on for so if you can keep the same work habits going, then you won't ever slip off when it goes back to normal. As well as all the benefits it comes with; less tiredness in the morning, reduced caffeine dependence, brighter mood, decrease pain, sharper focus, etc, you will probably get soooo much more done on the things that you've never had time for in the past! 2️⃣KEEP YOUR SAME SKIN/FACE ROUTINE EVERYDAY:

There's a natural craving to stay in your jammies, set up your laptop on your bed and let the days zoom through with Netflix, Covid-19 memes and work. No ones going to see you anyway right? So you don't bother with makeup or skincare or your normal maintenance. No, no, noooo.
Cleansing your skin, taking care of your lashes/brows and even popping on some make up gives you a sense of purpose for the day. It sounds vain, but the purpose is not because you need it, it's in the mental aspect.

We have SO many products that you can play with at home as well as on sell to your clients. Now is the chance you can experiment with Instagram Stories and Lives. Give your clients some things they can do and use at home for lash/brow care.

3️⃣GET 15-20 MINS OF SUNSHINE DAILY:
Vitamin D is also known as “the sunshine vitamin.” It is a crucial ingredient for overall health; protects against inflammation, lowers high blood pressure, helps muscles, improves brain function and may even protect against cancer and overall makes you feel bloody cute cupcake (cue "Walking on Sunshine" song).

Now that we are staying in our homes, even with home workouts, we forget that we haven't been outside of the house, which means no sunshine, which means no Vitamin D, which means less cupcake vibes.
Whilst, it's always been advised, we HIGHLY recommend making it a stable habit and get at least 10-15 minutes of sunlight daily.

4️⃣ CONTINUE BEING A BUSINESS OWNER (lash/brow/beauty technician)

There's a law of the universe that your thoughts create your future. That begins with with your present thoughts...right now!
If you continue thinking that you are no longer in business anymore, that you're unemployed, that it might be time to give up the whole, you're only going to create MORE of that for the future.
As hard as it is, you HAVE to come out on top with the belief that you can make it through and act in that way.
Wake up knowing you ARE a badass boss babe and get thinking with what you can do with your business right now. Maybe it's revamping your Instagram/Fb page and feed, changing your colour palettes, getting a cute sign made up, etc.
Make a little list of ALL the things you've been wanting to work on with your business and start going through them with the things you CAN get done now. You have this precious time now, no excuses.

5️⃣GET INFORMATION FROM THE RIGHT SOURCE
We can all agree there's always something new and terrible on the news every time we turn the TV on. Or worse, we scroll through Facebook with all the 'facts' about how much this virus is spreading and YouTube videos on peoples conspiracies, etc. That's not to say none of it's true. But you cannot believe every single thing that pops up on the web.

Make sure that you are staying up to date with the world via the correct source and try not to get into that world of fear and assumptions and the 'I heard from Janet who heard from Billy...'.
